Horse Haven Farm also takes horses into full training. In order to give each horse the individual attention they might need, only a small number of horses are accepted at any one time. Each horse is worked 5 to 6 days per week depending on how far along they are in their training. Our emphasis and expertise is with dressage horses. Of course, any horse can benefit from some dressage work, and certainly it is an ideal way to start any young horse.

Our goal is to have the horse working happily and eagerly, with a desire to move forward with elasticity of the steps, suppleness of the back, and engagement of the hindquarters. The horse should also be attentive, confident, accepting of the bit and quick to respond to light aids. The well trained, contented horse will be a pleasure to ride and to work around.
